Don’t Like Paying Taxes (Tariffs) to Benefit U.S. Corporations

Under President Trump the U. S. has engaged in a trade war with China using tariffs. It has been the goal of this nation for some time to get China to change certain of its policies that affect foreign businesses operating in that nation. The purpose of those policies is to benefit Chinese businesses there, especially by making it easy for them to get their hands on foreign businesses’ ‘intellectual property’. While such policies plainly promote thievery, other nations’ businesses do have the option of staying out of China. Other presidents have sought to persuade China to change its policies. I don’t mind one bit having my country negotiate with China to make its policies more beneficial to American corporations. I do not like paying taxes in the form of tariffs to accomplish that goal.
