So poetic license doesn’t work for you. I’ll spell it out for you: it cannot be reasonably denied that the second scenario represents employment of the same kinds for more people: more people doing the work at the houses and more appliances, materials, and supplies being bought, which leads to yet more employment as all that stuff is replaced in the supply chain.
