Believe me, I know what I am up against, culturally and psychologically. Our beliefs define how we see ourselves as human beings. Still, if there is so much agreement about justice in Liberalism, why are we (in the U.S.) experiencing so much extreme rancor in our poliitcs?

Ideological and theological beliefs divide people. Experience of material existence can provide commonality. If you insist there is no singificance in that, so be it.

The term I use, by the way, is "effectIng choices." I have never once used the term "effectuate choices." That indicates to me careless reading, which indicates a lack of interest in really considering what is being read. So be that.
