As I see it, "woke" is a synonym for 'liberalism' that can be 'legally' attacked by the state, as in Florida, whereas it is obvious that liberalism cannot be.

That said, cultural liberals consistently fail to grasp the total hegemony of their point of view in the pop culture/marketing complex that dominates daily life in this country. That is what people who are anti-liberal hate. They feel culturally suffocated--with good reason. The problem is, they have turned to the state as the only force that can, well, trump that complex.
