As far as I can see, there is nothing but truth in this article. One solution is to apply the essential ingredient of democracy to the economy, via a "democratically distributed income."
That would be a guaranteed minimum income (that a person could actually live on) for which any (adult) citizen could become eligible. It would not require redistributing anything. In fact, taxes could be eliminated altogether.
Unemployment and poverty would be absolutely, positively eliminated. Yet, there would be no reason for 'the rich' to object to any part of it.
Many people want to punish rich people more than they want to eliminate poverty. Personally, I don't understand that attitude.
The paradigm does provide a pathway for a yet more democratic economy, but establishing a democratically distributed income is the necessary first step.
