As always from this author, another extremely well-written and heartfelt polemic that makes for (for me) riveting reading.

If I may, I would argue that, just as in the days of the Cold War, the most important ground is the realm of ideas. The West must demonstrate to the world that moribund Liberalism is not the end of the road concerning justice. Justice must be secular (cannot be based on sacral beliefs), but neither can it be ideological (based on secular beliefs).
