As a materialist, philosophically, I simply accept that we are pushed long by events, whether we like it or not. Still, the economic paradigm I developed does lessen the pressure on the natural environment and in each nation could easily allow for (monetary, at least) compensation of peoples who suffered particularly as Liberalizing nations conquered the world and unleashed the Liberal economic paradigm upon it. The money for that compensation, whether a one-time payment or a supplemental income--or both--could be created as needed (along with the money for a democratically distributed income and the money to fund government).
