Apparently, we are never going to agree on the difference between beliefs and ideas, so I see no point in beating our heads against that topic any more. I can live with your being convinced that I am in error.

I certainly agree, as I have written many times, that a requirement of mutual respect follows from a belief in equality. I explained in my previous Reply why equality is not a requirement for mutual respect as the ethic of justice in real justice. It follows from merely being fellow humans.

Real justice makes justice its own ethical category apart from morality--which, as I see it, must always be based on beliefs. Real justice limits the domain of justice to actions of human beings that are related to effecting choices and involve other human beings.

Those actions can also be concerns for moralities, but for purposes of governing society real justice must take precedence because of the commonality of its materialism, as opposed to the arbitrariness of beliefs (as you previously noted regarding equality). Anything else related to right, wrong, good, bad, etc. is a moral issue.
